Pure Recs helps people check whether beauty and personal care products are considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. You can use the site without creating an account or giving us any personal information. This page explains the small amount of data we do collect, why we collect it, and how to ask us to remove it.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to send us:
- Newsletter signup. Your email address, and where on the site you signed up.
- Feedback form. Your first name, email address, favorite type of product, and message, if you fill them in. We also record your browser type so we can reproduce any problem you report.
Product information on the site comes from public retailer listings. It is not tied to you or to your visit.
Analytics and cookies
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are popular. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal information or track you across other websites. Pure Recs does not set any advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie we use is a login cookie for our own staff administration area, which ordinary visitors never receive.
How we use your information
- To send updates and articles to people who subscribed.
- To read and reply to feedback.
- To keep the site working and stop abuse of our forms.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.
Where your information is stored
Your information is stored in a database hosted by Railway in the United States and is accessible only to the people who run Pure Recs. We keep subscriber emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and feedback for as long as it is useful for improving the site.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe using the link in any email we send. You can also ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email us at info@purerecs.com and we will take care of it promptly.
Children
Pure Recs is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in our newsletter.
